PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an image of high ink absorbability and gloss properties and of high image quality and also provided with the hand like a photograph, not generating undulations on printed sections and to be manufactured at low cost. SOLUTION: An ink jet recording paper is provided with a space layer as an ink absorption layer of 5-20 μm dry film thickness containing fine particles of 100 nm average particle diameter or less and a hydrophilic binder on a water-absorbing substrate of 160 μm thickness, and a cationic polymer mordant and/or cationic fine particles are contained in the substrate, and the cationic polymer mordant is contained in the space layer by 0.5 times weight ratio to the hydrophilic binder or more. |
