The basic parts are sorted by means of a tray (5) defining a reception area (7) for the parts and a linear conveyor track (8) leading to an outlet (9). A vibration generator (25) is located at the base of the reception areas so as to act on the tray in a vertical direction. A flexible coupling (10) is composed of two differently orientated resilient parts (11,17) defining on the plinth a virtual articulation center located at the base of the track end part.
