PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video telephone system and video telephone set where a conventional conversation with a moving video image is conducted without revising installation of a telephone line. SOLUTION: In the video telephone system, a caller side video telephone set 1a sends video telephone information consisting of a called party identification code, a caller identification code and caller video audio information to a broadcasting equipment 2a, the broadcasting equipment 2a sends a broadcast wave R1 that is a mixture of the broadcast signal and the video telephone information, the called video telephone set 1b detects whether or not its own identification code is included in the video telephone information extracted from the broadcast wave R1 and reproduces the video audio information included in the video telephone information when detecting its own identification code. |
