The apparatus for use in magneto therapy, with an active principle, has a bed (2) to support a horizontal patient with horizontal movement on a frame. A number of independent treatment frames (C1) form a passage for the patient movement. They can be displaced from each other, to give a rest space between them. Each frame has a magnetic circuit round the bed with an upper north pole magnetic plate (16) and a lower south pole magnetic plate (17) under the bed (2), with a contact (18) between them to form a magnetic field between the plates (16,17) in a vertical downwards direction. Each frame (C1) has a removable vessel (23) containing an active principle in a watery medium, close to the upper magnetic plate. Each frame (C1) has an array of permanent magnets between the upper and lower magnetic plates (16,17). At least one electromagnet (18) is at the sides of the frame (C1), where the core is in contact with the upper and lower plates (16,17). Each frame (C1) is supported by a gantry (14) on wheels which ride on parallel rails (12) along the line of the bed (2). The frame for the bed (2) support is extended under the bed (2) by a chassis (4) with two longitudinal racks (8) working with toothed pinions (28) at a housing (25) under each gantry frame, and two longitudinal bars (6) working with the locking jaws (29) at each gantry housing (25). The containers (23) for the active principle extend across the frame width, and are located alternately at upper and lower levels at the successive frames to give treatment continuity through the frames. Some of the frames have longer magnetic plates (16,17) than other frames. The longer plates are in contact with the cores of the electromagnets (18) at both ends. A control panel, outside the treatment zone, generates command signals for the positioning of the frames (C1), and selects the coupling of the power to the electromagnets (18) in parallel or in series. It controls the movement of the bed gantry. The control has a visual indicator of the power supply to the electromagnets, and a breaker to disconnect the power supply in an emergency. The active principle is an essential oil such as inula graveolens, cinnamomum verum, revensara aromatica, acorus calamus, pelargonium X denticalatum, melcihrysum italicum, or cistus ladanferus.
