PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To insert a catheter without the injury of a path by providing a thin and long main body with a distal position, a proximal position and a medium position, improving the flexibility of a selected section compared with other sections at the time of insertion to a vessel structure path so as to coincide with the curve of the path. SOLUTION: A vessel structured path 8 changes from a sharp curve to a gradual curve in the order of a first curve 12, a second curve 16 and a third curve 20 with labels A to C. Concerning a catheter or a catheter guiding device 4 (hereinafter simply referred to as device) to put through this path 8, the flexibility of the part of the device 4 corresponding to the curve 12 is set to be maximum and the flexibility is set to be successively lowered from the curve 16 to the curve 20 along lengths corresponding to the curves 12, 16 and 20. Then, lest the device 4 should be locked at a prescribed position at the time of inserting, this part is desirably a little longer than the curves 12, 16 and 20 occupied by it. Thus, the device 4 is effectively suited to the curve of the path 8. |
