<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To expose an image record medium with short and high power pulses by providing a switch including an input arranged to receive a radiation from a radiation source and a plurality of image outputs, and switching the radiation received by the switch to be routed to a selected path. SOLUTION: A single data laser 80 of a radiation source 53 directs code beams to an inner core 31 of a fiber 30 under the control of a microprocessor 78. A damp laser 81 turned on when the data laser 80 is turned off directs code beams of a different wavelength to the same core 31. An amplification signal from the data laser 80 is sent to a switch 83 and an energy damp 72 via a wavelength filter 82. The switch 83 is controlled by the microprocessor 78 to send the radiation along a fiber optic 56 during a first half rotation of a shaft, and along a fiber optic 58 during a last half rotation, thereby exposing an image record medium.</p> |
