<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe joint that reliably prevents an inadvertent release of a hose-fitted spigot part and a reinforced flexible hose from each other while ensuring sufficient sealing performance. SOLUTION: This pipe joint, which is used for a reinforced flexible hose F comprising a flexible pipe (a) formed on its periphery with a line of reinforcement projection (b) at constant pitches, comprises a cylinder 11 that is shaped at its point periphery into a bamboo shoot as a pipe-fitted spigot part 12, is provided at its base end with a flange 13 and at its barrel with a locking body 15 serving to check the movement of an external clamping body 2, and is formed in its periphery with two sealing grooves 17 in which O rings 16 are placed. The external clamping body 2 is made of halved bodies 2a and 2b each formed in their lugs with a bolt hole so as to be fastened together with two pairs of bolts 24 and nuts 25. Each halved bodies 2a and 2b is formed in its interior surface with a spiral groove or internal thread 22 adapted to mesh with the spiral line of reinforcement projection (b), and on its interior surface with an inward edge 23 with an inside diameter made smaller than the outside diameter of the locking body 15 on the joint body 1.</p> |
