PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forming roll capable of easily forming a metallic sheet for a catalyst support in the manner that the corrugated metallic sheets are free of engaging adhesion to each other when superimposed. SOLUTION: A plurality of blades 11 of the same specification are such that roll peak parts 10a, 10e corresponding to the corrugated peak part and the louvered peak part, which are to be shaped on the circumferential surface of a metallic sheet, are formed at prescribed allocated equal anglesθaround the center point 0 of the blade, as are roll valley parts 10b, 10d corresponding to the corrugated valley part and the louvered valley part; these blades 11 are laminated with a pitch shifted using the allocated angleθas one pitch, and the roll is constituted by interposing a spacer between the blades 11 having a different phase angle, thereby providing plural louvered valleys in the corrugated peak part in the direction of the fold of the corrugation as well as providing plural louvered peaks in the corrugated valley part in the same direction, and facilitating the forming of the metallic sheets which are free of engaging adhesion to each other when superimposed.
