The invention concerns a folding method to obtain documents of smaller size and an method for automatic unfolding in one single movement. It ensures parity in unlimited number, direction and position of the folds to be produced on a medium size document. There is an even number of folds in the horizontal direction whereof the central body represents half the document and an odd number of folds in the vertical direction regularly spaced. Moreover, it comprises a tab for opening and closing. Said folding is carried out in three steps: as an example it consists in folding the two right hand side vertical flaps of the document like an accordion rearwards; folding the document upper and lower parts frontward; folding the remaining flaps like an accordion inwards towards the left. The direction of the folds can be reversed from the right towards the left and from the front rearwards as the user chooses. The resulting folding enables to produce documents intended to be used for advertising and practical communication purposes. |
