PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain generation of wobbling and fit to various types of soles of bicycle shoes. SOLUTION: This pedal is provided with a pedal body 22 rotatably-supported on a pedal spindle and a cage 28. The pedal spindle is tightened on the crank of a bicycle in a conventional way. For the pedal body 22, a foot-operated pedal is preferably used, which is formed with a cleat engagement mechanism 24 for retaining a cleat of bicycle shoes so as to be capable of being released on respective sides. The cage 28 surrounds the pedal body 22 and is connected to the pedal body 22 by an energizing member. The energizing member is formed so that it may be rotated at a limited angle between the pedal body 22 and the cage 28, therefore, the pedal body 22 and the cage 28 generally rotate together around the pedal spindle. To change the angular position of the cage 28 to the pedal body 22, an adjustable mechanism is jointed between the pedal body and the cage. |
