PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve traction control by using a brake system by performing brake pressure adjustment only when at least one of the followings is satisfied: a driver operates an additional switching element, a vehicle speed is lower than a specified limit value. SOLUTION: A driver operates a brake pedal at time t1. Then, a brake pressure is supplied into a corresponding wheel brake cylinder, and the supplying of this brake pressure is continued until a differenceΔVRAD between wheel speeds is gradually extinguished. After time t2 when a vehicle is started, the brake pressure is reduced again. Then, a control process is finished, and the driver releases the brake pedal at time t3. Since the vehicle speed exceeds a minimum threshold value VMIN, an unstable state newly generated at time t5 is no longer controlled by traction control. In this case, torque is reduced by releasing an acceleration pedal by the driver himself.
