PURPOSE:To easily simulate all linear control systems and to obtain a board diagram by giving only data or the like indicating constitutions of control systems to automatically calculate frequency responses of control systems. CONSTITUTION:System definition data consisting of supplied block definition data and large block definition data is stored in a storage device 1. A central processing unit 10 calculates respective transfer functions constituting control systems on the basis of classification data and definition data of this stored block definition data and temporarily stores them in the storage device 1. The unit 10 calculates values, gains, and phases of transfer functions of linear control systems defined by system definition data based on connection data and operation data of large block definition data and values of transfer functions which are stored in the storage device 1. The board diagram of linear control systems is displayed on the basis of values of calculated gains and phases.
