PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of toner, also, to attain good circulation of the toner, to prevent the toner from fixing to the end part of a toner control member, to prevent the occurrence of fogging at the end part and to improve image quality by surely replacing the toner in a non-image area on a developer carrier with the toner in a developing container. SOLUTION: A lower sealing member 10 for sealing between the lower edge of the opening part of a developer container and a developer carrier 8 is constituted of a sheet member 22 coming into contact with the developer carrier 8 and an elastic body 21 for supporting the sheet member 22 and also which comes into contact with the developer carrier 8. In this case, the elastic member 21 is constituted so that the member 21 may come into contact with the developer carrier 8 together with the sheet member 22 in an image area, but in the non-image area, the member 21 may not come into contact with the carrier 8. |
