PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing film which has the center of a selection band of reflected light wavelength over a wide band of 400 to 800 nm as the visible light beam range and improves polarization efficiency even when the reflection rate is improved. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method includes a film forming process for forming a photopolymerized liquid crystal film by coating a substrate with cholesteric liquid crystal 1 which differs in the center of the selection band of reflected light wavelength, adding a photopolymerization initiator to the applied liquid crystal layer, and irradiating it with light, a stacking process for selecting >=2 liquid crystal films 1 so that the centers of the selection bands of reflected light wavelength do not overlap with each other and adhering and stacking them in the selection order, and a sticking process for sticking a λ/4 wavelength plate 3 for converting circular polarized light into linear polarized light on the said stacked liquid crystal films 1. |
