PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct energy saving and prevent a taper bearing or a thrust bearing from being worn, in a thrust receiving structure of a ship propeller, by restricting a contact between the flange of a propeller shaft, and a taper bearing and a thrust bearing to only when thrust should be transmitted. SOLUTION: This structure is mounted on a propeller shaft 28, and involves a flange 52 transmitting thrust force acting on the propeller shaft 28 to a propeller casing. Thrust is transmitted by bringing the advance thrust transmitting part 53 of the flange 52 into contact with the inner ring of a taper bearing 50 disposed on the propeller casing only at an advance position. Thrust is transmitted by bringing the astern thrust transmitting part 54 of the flange 52 into contact with a washer 59 supported on the propeller casing through a thrust bearing 58 only at an astern position. |
