<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aggregate having an excellent compressive strength utilizing an industrial waste by compounding an incineration ash of sewage sludge in expansive shale having a specified or smaller particle size to prepare a source material, then granulating, calcining and sifting. SOLUTION: An incineration ash of sewage sludge, preferably by 50 to 1,000 pts.wt. as a solid content is compounded in preferably 100 pts.wt. of an expansive shale having <=75μm particle size to prepare a source material having <=50 wt.% water content, preferably 10 to 50 wt.% water content. The source material is granulated, calcined and sifted. As for the incineration ash of sewage sludge, an ash having the compsn. of 20 to 80 wt.% SiO2 , 5 to 30 wt.% Al2 O3 and 2 to 20 wt.% Fe2 O3 after dried at 100 deg.C and showing 0.1 to 3.0% ignition loss, preferably 0.2 to 2.0%, is preferably used. In the granulating process, the source material is granulated by using an extruding machine or a ran type pelletizer. In the calcining process, a rotary kiln or a fluid roasting furnace is preferably used.</p> |
