PURPOSE:To attain the application of a document preparing device which can designate a calculating function without resetting a calculation formula when the calculation is carried out again after the change of the format of a table and shift of the table and after a table calculation formula is set. CONSTITUTION:A calculation formula is set while a cursor is shifted within a table shown on a display device 101 and an input device 103 designates a calculation start reference point, the numerical value, and an operator. Then the calculation start reference point and the table position coordinates (value of table position of numerical value) of the calculation formula are stored in a storage 102. When the input of the calculation formula is over, an execution key of the device 103 is pushed. Thus a table element (matrix) recognizing means 108 obtains the table position coordinates in the storage 102 by a coordinate converter means 109 as the matrix coordinates (relative coordinates to the table). |
