PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and simply judge a part disposed in a measurement region of an optical fiber by a method wherein reflection means is provided at both end parts of the part disposed in the measurement region of the optical fiber, and a signal light is entered from the one end and a distance between a generation position of the returned reflected light and the one end is measured. SOLUTION: A grating 102 is performed at both ends of a region 104 adhered to a structure 103 to be measured of an optical fiber 101. One end of the optical fiber 101 is connected to a measuring device 105 such as a distortion and loss integrated type optical pulse tester or the like. A signal light is incident from the measuring device 105 and a distribution of a relay scattered light of the same frequency as the incident signal light in a lengthwise direction of the optical fiber 101 is measured by the measuring device 105. The grating 102 is a mechanism in which a partial light is reflected at the position. Accordingly, the signal light is reflected at a position where the grating 102 is performed and a great change appears in measurement of the relay scattered light. A space between two positions where the great change appears is a range corresponding to the region 104. |
