Complex, porous structures of varying thickness are rendered electrically conducting by the deposition of a conductive polymer.- DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A method for chemically depositing conducting polymer on complex porous structures of the crosslinked foam, felt or woven fabric type in order to make them electrically conducting comprises: carrying out said deposition across the whole thickness of said structures and covering every fiber or thread without plugging up the pores thus providing a continuous conductivity over the whole surface. These structures take the form of blocks or unwound rolls.They are mass-treated by a process comprising: - (a) a pre-oxidizing treatment; - (b) rinsing; - (c) deposition of monomer; - (d) wringing out; - (e) polymerization by oxidation-doping; - (f) rinsing and wringing out; and - (g) drying.- INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for the porous structures themselves
