<p>The hinged arm for a neuro-endoscope has a number of parts(3-6;15-16) connected by lockable hinges. The locking means includes a disc brake (17) with a permanent magnet, which can be unlocked by energising an electromagnet. Fig 2 shows an hinge of this type. The arm has an overall control that enables the simultaneous freeing or locking of all the hinges.</p> |
