Aqueous multiphase detergent forming temporary emulsion on shaking and used on hard surfaces

An aqueous, liquid, surfactant-containing detergent which (i) has at least two continuous phases comprising at least a lower aqueous phase (I) and a non-miscible upper aqueous phase (II) and which (ii) can be temporarily converted into an emulsion by shaking is characterized by the presence of 0-5 wt.% Na hexametaphosphate and is prepared by mixing the components and standing the composition until the temporary emulsion is separated. An Independent claim is also included for the preparation of the detergent.
