The telefax device is coupled via a serial or parallel interface with a personal computer, the latter containing software for a text recognition programme, a text correction programme, a speech delivery programme and a speech recognition programme, for spoken input and output of telefax transmissions. The computer keyboard may incorporate a Braille character reader and be linked to a Braille printer, with the Braille text represented in enlarged form on the computer screen or delivered as a spoken text. |
