A method for preparing a sterilized corn silk extract is provided to maintain the savory taste and flavor of corn silk by circularly sprinkling the corn silk with a proper concentration of ethanol for a fixed time. A method for preparing a sterilized corn silk extract comprises the steps of: (a) circularly sprinkling corn silk with 70% ethanol for 30~60min, wherein the weight ratio of the corn silk and the ethanol is 1:2; (b) adding a proper amount of refined water to the firstly sprinkled corn silk for the ethanol concentration to reach 50%, and secondly performing circular-sprinkling for 30~60min; (c) adding a proper amount of refined water to the secondly sprinkled corn silk for the ethanol concentration to reach 25%, and thirdly performing circular-sprinkling for 60~120min; (d) washing the thirdly sprinkled corn silk with a proper amount of refined water one to two times; and (e) putting the washed corn silk in an extractor, adding refined water to it, and performing extraction at 98~110°C for 60~120min.
