摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve miniaturization, simplification of processing of branch pipes, and reduction of the flow resistance, in an intake manifold constituted by connecting a surge tank provided with an intake inlet to respective cylinders in an internal combustion engine by independent long branch pipes. SOLUTION: A surge tank 9 is arranged near the longitudinal side surface of a cylinder head, respective branch pipes 10 to 13 are traversely extended above the surge tank 9 as seen from the axial direction of a crank shaft, downwardly bent outside the surge tank 9, upwardly bent below the surge tank 9, and connected to respective connecting parts 18, 19, 20 and 21 on the lower surface of the surge tank so as to surround the outside of the surge tank. The connecting parts 18, 21 of respective connecting parts, distant from the internal combustion engine are outwardly inclined so as to be inclined larger than the connecting parts 19, 20 close to the internal combustion engine.</p>
