PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid material excellent in sealability, opening/closing properties, and food-hygienic properties, and a label having good sealability, and to obtain a plastic container with a label having high adhesive strength and good surface decoration properties. SOLUTION: In a laminate having at least a sealant layer on a backing, the sealant layer consists of straight chain low density polyethylene and is subjected to surface oxidation treatment meeting Δ(O/C)>=0.1 (wherein Δ(O/ C)=(O/C)<s> -(O/C)<0> , wherein (O/C) and (O/C) represent the ratios of the numbers of oxygen atoms to carbon atoms measured by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy for the sealant surface not subjected to the surface oxidation treatment and for the sealant surface subjected to the surface oxidation treatment, respectively) The straight chain low density polyethylene is a copolymer of ethylene with a comonomer selected from butene-1, hexene-1, octene-1, and 4-methyl-pentene-1. |
