PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flashing device capable of performing stable flat light emitting action without producing noise by preventing the malfunction of a trigger thyristor controlling trigger action when a flat light emitting actin mode is set. SOLUTION: This flashing device is equipped with a control element 5 making a flash tube 4 repeatedly emit light by repeating on/off action, a self-hold type switching element 9 whose electrode on a high potential side is connected to one electrode of a trigger capacitor 7 and whose electrode on a low potential side is connected to the negative pole of the flash tube 4, and a trigger generation circuit 11 generating a trigger signal to be impressed on the control electrode of the element 9 in the case of the first on-action of the element 5. In such a case, the device is provided with a bias circuit 16 or a reverse bias means 17 supplying the trigger signal to the control electrode of the element 9 when the circuit 11 generates the trigger signal and reversely biasing the control electrode of the element 9 when the element 5 is turned off. |
