摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a battery system of a hull stabilization satellite, including east and west battery modules and radiators oriented in the same direction for emitting heat into deep space, which moves along a static orbit. SOLUTION: An east heat switch 50 is activated so as to thermally couple a first battery module 38 with an eastward radiator 40, and a west heat switch 52 is activated so as to thermally couple a second battery module 44 with a westward radiator 46. While the satellite appears from the shadow of the earth and moves to a position nearest the sun, the respective heat switches thermally couple the first battery module to its radiator while disconnecting the second battery module from its radiator. Also, while the satellite moves from its position nearest the sun to the shadow of the earth, the east heat switch disconnects the first battery module from its radiator while the west heat switch thermally couples the second battery module to its radiator. Further, in other cases, the battery modules are thermally coupled to their respective radiators simultaneously starting from the time when the satellite is in the shadow of the earth.</p>
