PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an alkoxyethylamine from an ethylene glycol monoalkyl ether, hydrogen and ammonium in a high yield. SOLUTION: An ethylene glycol monoalkyl ether is reacted with hydrogen and ammonium by using a cobalt-copper-zirconium metal catalyst containing 60-90 atomic % calculated as a metal atom, of cobalt, 40-4 atomic % of copper and 5-20 atomic % of zirconium or a nickel-copper-zirconium metal catalyst containing 40-55 atomic % calculated as a metal atom of nickel, 35-50 atomic % of copper and 5-20 atomic % of zirconium as a catalyst. |
