PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an agent, for controlling noxious insects, having a high effective vaporization coefficient and high control effect on indoor mite and cockroach, by including a component for controlling noxious insects which has a volume median diameter of a specific value or smaller and is solid at normal temperature, and an organic foaming agent. SOLUTION: This agent is obtained by including (A) a component, for controlling noxious insects, which has a volume median diameter of 30μm or smaller and is solid at normal temperature, (preferably, e.g. 2-methoxycarbonyl-4- chlorotrifluoromethanesulfoneanilide) and (B) an organic foaming agent (preferably, e.g. azodicarbonamide), usually at 1-25 wt.% and 10-97 wt.%, respectively, per total weight. It is preferable that the total volume of particles having a diameter of 30μm or smaller is 70% or larger of the total volume of all the particles of component A. It is also preferable to prepare the agent as follows: components A and B are mixed, water is added to the obtained mixture, the resultant mixture is blended, granules are formed from the obtained mixture, and the obtained granules are dried.
