PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for regenerating base material for printing in which a printing part formed on the surface of base material for printing such as a paper and an OHP sheet is easily decolored in a short time, and to provide a method for recycling base material for printing in which the printing part is decolored at necessary time after printed matters applying printing to the base material for printing have no more use and the printing part is made to be in a state reusable as the base material for printing. SOLUTION: Printing is performed on a base material coated with clear coating composition, which consists of fine grains of titanium oxide of 0.05-0.2 μm average particle diameter, hydrolytic silicon compound or hydrolyzed material of silicon compound and/or partial condensate of hydrolytic silicon compound and a solvent, by using ink composition consisting of such dye that a colorant of a printing part is decolored by irradiation of ultraviolet rays. The printing part is decolored by irradiating with ultraviolet rays the printed matters obtained by this method. |
