PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the burdens of a user and to improve retrieval accuracy in the case of retrieving similar images based on plural key images. SOLUTION: The plural kinds of feature amounts are extracted from respective plural key images (S42), the feature amounts of the same kind are compared among the key images and the feature amount of approximate values is selected as the feature amount to be used for retrieval (S43). Then, the feature amount is extracted from retrieval object images (S45), a similarity degree is calculated based on the selected feature amount of the key image and the feature amount of the retrieval object image of the same kind as the feature amount (S46) and the retrieval object image of high similarity to the key image is outputted as a retrieved result based on the similarity degree (S47).
