PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce unevenness in the size of recording paper by cutting the recording paper in the designated size when the designated paper size is compared with the recording range of received data and the recording range is smaller than the designated size at the time of cutting the recording paper. SOLUTION: The set value for a shortest counter is checked and when it is '0', the recording range of the received data is judged equal with or longer than the shortest sizeα. Next, the set value for a size counter is checked and when the value of that size counter is not '0', the recording range of the received data is judged shorter than a paper size (x) designated by a user. When the recording range of the received data is larger than the shortest sizeαand smaller than the designated size, the margin is added (idle feeding is performed) by the paper feeding operation of a paper conveying part 7 so that the recording paper can reach the designated size, and the recording paper is cut by a cutting part 8 later. Therefore, when the value for the shortest counter is not '0', since the recording range of the received data is smaller than the shortest sizeα, just size cutting is not performed. |
