PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink set for ink jet recording capable of imparting vivid and high-quality color image to a medium to be recorded, especially in which ink receiving layer is formed and providing sufficiently satisfactory light resistance also in an industrial use, and provide an ink jet color-recording method. SOLUTION: In this ink set comprising yellow, magenta and cyan inks, each ink has at least a pigment, a dispersing agent and water and 1-10 wt.% pigment having 0.05-0.3 μm average particle diameter is included in each ink and the dispersing agent in an amount of 5-30 wt.% based on the pigment content is included in each ink, and the yellow ink has a pigment selected from the group comprising C.I. pigment yellows 109, 110, 138, 147, 151, 180 and 181 and the magenta ink has a pigment selected from a group comprising C.I. pigment reds 122, 202 and 207 and C.I. pigment violet 19 and the cyan ink has a pigment selected from C.I. pigment blues 15, 15:1, 15:2 and 15:3. |
