PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniature magnetic recording/reproducing device having the high accuracy and the excellent assembly workability. SOLUTION: The whole device is miniaturized by positioning at least one part of a cover 14 of a cassette 10 in the space 43 notched by a notched part 42 of an upper drum 32. Also, the working time is shortened since the working operation of a tap hole 58 is carried out from the inside wall surface 62 of a laser hole 54. Further, since the inside wall surface 62 is formed at right angle against a drill, a tip of this drill does not escape at the starting time of the work, then the accurate working is attained.
