PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dry electric precipitator in which a re-scattering preventing dust collecting electrode suppressing the re-scattering amt. of dust at a time of hammering is incorporated. SOLUTION: In a dry electric precipitator internally divided into a plurality of sections in relation to a gas flow direction and constituted by arranging many sets of combinations of discharge electrodes and plate-shaped dust collecting electrodes 1 in the respective sections, a combination of re-scattering preventing dust collecting electrode parts 2 and discharge electrodes 3 is arranged in the rear stage of the final section to perform two-stage dust collection. The re-scattering preventing dust collection electrode parts 2 are formed by arranging a plurality of chute-shaped dust collection electrodes in one row in the gas flow direction and the chute-shaped dust collection electrodes have trough-shaped parts having an almost U-shaped cross section extending up and down and the projected parts of the trough-shaped parts are arranged in the gas flow direction.
