PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify field information collection by providing a host computer which stores data taken in from respective portable terminal devices through a data receiving device and processes them according to a specific program. SOLUTION: A visiting nurse in charge carries a bar code reader 10 as a portable terminal device for inputting nursing records when visiting a patient's house wherein more than one visiting nurse shares one device. A code sheet 20 for nursing records is used by the visiting nurse to input the nursing records of the patient while a host computer 30 for centralized management provided at a host station (or each station) issues bills and provides various information. A docking holder 40 is connected to the host computer 30, the bar code reader 10 is held on the docking holder 40, and when the docking holder 40 is held, the docking holder 40 inputs the data in the bar code reader 10 to the host computer 30. |
