<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a ketone polymer compsn. improved in processiblity by compounding an aliph. ketone polymer with an epoxy resin and a curative therefor. SOLUTION: This compsn. contains a blend comprisig (1) an aliph. ketone polymer formed from carbon monoxide and at least one ethylenically unsatd. hydrocabon, (2) a thermosetting epoxy resin, and (3) a curative in an amt. enough to cure the epoxy resin. The ketone polymer used pref. has a polymer chain comprising repeating units of the formula: [CO(CH2 -CH2 )]x [CO(G)]y (wherein G is a molecular part of a 3C or higher ethylenically unsatd. hydrocarbon polymerized through ethylenic unsaturation; and the ratio of y/x is not higher than 0.5). The compounding ratio of the polyketone to the epoxy resin is pref. about 0.5 to about 4. The compsn. pref. contains the ketone polymer, 5 to about 80 wt.% epoxy resin, and 0.1 to about 40 wt.% curative.</p> |
