PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power interrupting device for a computer which can conduct power interruption after the computer conducts processing for interrupting the processing operation which the computer is conducting, that is, shutdown processing while the ambient temperature is rising. SOLUTION: This power interrupting device for a CPU 3, which is constituted so as to be fed through a power circuit 2 connected to a main power source through a breaker 1, is provided with temperature detectors 4, 5 which generate output when the ambient temperature of a computer exceeds a prescribed value where a warning should be given, the CPU 3 which starts shutdown processing when the output of the temperature detectors is applied, calculates predictive time required for the shutdown processing, and outputs a power-OFF signal after the predictive time elapses, a power circuit 2 which stops power supply to the computer on the basis of the power-OFF signal, and a breaker 1 which is tripped by stopping the power circuit and stops feeding from the main power source to the power circuit. |
