PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power device which suppresses the generation of heat of switching elements by the use of a simple construction, suppressing the distortion of an input current. SOLUTION: Between the DC output ends of a rectifier 2, a series circuit of a second capacitor C2 and an inductor L2 being an inductance element is connected. The second capacitor C2 forms a resonance circuit with the primary winding of a transformer T. A first switching element Q1 and a second switching element Q2 connected in parallel to a smoothing first capacitor C1 , are turned on and off interchangeably by a high frequency so as not to be in an on-state simultaneously. The switching element Q2 has a function as a switching element of a boosting chopper, and a function as a switching element of an inverter. The inductor L2 is inserted into a path where an input current from an AC power source 1 flows and a current from the first capacitor C1 does not flow, and a current flowing in the second switching element Q2 is reduced. |
