摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size, weight, noise and cost of a power supply for an electric car. SOLUTION: This power supply is provided with first smoothing capacitors 21, 22, a DC/DC converter, smoothing circuits 41, 42 and three-phase inverter 9. The first smoothing capacitors 21, 22 are connected in series to a DC power supply 1, which outputs a first DC voltage. The DC/DC converter is made up of inverter bridges comprising power elements in the bridge connection each connected parallel to the first capacitors 21, 22 respectively, insulated transformers 31, 32 of high frequency whose primary windings are each connected to the output side of the respective inverter bridges, and rectifier bridges each connected to the secondary windings of the respective insulated transformers 31, 32. The smoothing circuits 41, 42 are provided with a smoothing DC reactor 41 and a second capacitor 42 to obtain a second DC voltage from the output of each rectifier bridge after connected parallel. The three-phase inverter 9, comprising power elements in bridge connection, obtains three-phase AC voltage from the second DC voltage obtained in the smoothing circuits 41, 42.
