<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase follow-up capability when a running condition is a stationary state by suppressing follow-up speed when the running condition of a synchronous machine is a transient state. SOLUTION: This exciting device is provided with an stationary state discriminator 21 for discriminating which of a stationary state or a transient state the running condition of a synchronous machine is and turning off the output of a stationary state discriminating signal Vst in the case of the transient state and turning on of output the stationary state discriminating signal Vst in the case of the stationary state, and a switch 22a for switching a field voltage setting value changing rate signal Vrrfa from a function generator 20a or a field voltage setting value changing rate signal Vrrfb from a function generator 20b according to a stationary state discriminating signal Vst outputted from the stationary state discriminator 21 and outputting it to a field voltage setter 14.</p> |
