PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently collect supervisory data from each device to be monitored even under such a condition that the volume of traffic of the supervisory data variously changes. SOLUTION: When a supervisory data collecting system in which a monitoring device 30 is connected to a plurality of devices 10 to be monitored so that the devices 10 may transmit supervisory frames to the monitoring device 30 collects the supervisory data, each device 10 informs the monitoring device 30 of prescribed information on the amount of supervisory data waiting for transmission when the amount of the data in its own device becomes a prescribed amount or larger. Upon receiving the information, the device 30 allows the device 10 to continuously transmit supervisory frames to the device 30 within an allowable accumulated data amount range based on the information.
