<p>The system includes a computer program for parametric 3D modeling of framed structures and for quantifying the framing information, and a method and device to automatically cut and notch framing components, and/or to directly transfer a marking layout onto framing components for subsequent controlled cutting, notching, and placement of intersecting components. The system also includes the apparatus for cutting/notching/marking. The apparatus includes a supporting frame (11) for supporting the components, and a notcher and/or marker (10) is carried by the support (11) for respectively notching and/or marking the components bought into contact therewith. A component carriage (15) is movably carried by the support (11) for horizontal movement of components toward or away from the notcher (10). The apparatus also includes a computer (26) running the software of the present invention. The computer (26) is connected to the notcher and/or marker (10) as well as the component carriage (15) to automatically control the operation and movement of both. The components are automatically cut and/or notched for subsequent assembly.</p> |
