The boat has at least two displacement hulls (2, 3) connected by transverse bearers (4), and a movable sail rig (5). One of the hulls is shorter than the other. In running condition, the cross-section axis of the longer hull (2) is perpendicular to the waterline. The shorter hull flies above the waterline. The transverse bearer is roughly horizontal. The cross-section axis of the shorter hull is at 90 deg to the horizontal plane formed by the transverse bearers.
