<p>A main spindle apparatus and a multi-spindle head for machine tools, wherein a free end portion of a blade (30) which is machining a comparatively deep portion of a work is lubricated with an atomized cutting liquid. The main spindle apparatus has a bore (10c) extending in the axial direction of a central portion of a main spindle (3) provided at a free end portion thereof with a tool holder (8) and a blade (30), and a cutting liquid supply pipe (25) which is retained in a non-rotating state even when the main spindle (3) is rotated, and which is inserted through this bore (10c), an atomized cutting liquid supplied from an outer end of the main spindle into the cutting liquid supply pipe (25) being ejected from a free end of the blade (30). The multi-spindle head has a through bore (b) for supplying a cutting liquid in a longitudinally central portion of each of spindles (111), an atomized cutting liquid supplied from the outside to the interior of the bores (b) being ejected from free ends of blades (119).</p> |
