摘要 Apparatus combining spectrophotometry and detection of flame ionization to analyze the composition of a gas, where the necessary reactions in the presence of first hydrogen and then an oxidant are included in the analysis apparatus. The apparatus comprises a tubular burner with at least one nozzle (2) admitting a continuous sample of the gas to be analyzed and, coaxially with the nozzle: a first tubular sleeve (4) with the bottom crossed by the nozzle to define an annular chamber (5) where a combustion gas such as hydrogen is admitted from a source (7) and a first combustion chamber (8). A second tubular sleeve (10) with the nozzle at the bottom and forming an annular chamber (11) with the first annular sleeve where an oxidant such as air is admitted, and a second combustion chamber (9). This second tubular sleeve contains an outlet orifice (17) for the gases from the combustion. An electrode coupling (14) connected to a circuit (21) measures the conductivity of a combustion zone in the second combustion chamber. A focussing optic coaxial with the sleeves focusses the image of the flame formed in at least the first combustion chamber on the inlet to a spectrophotometer. The apparatus also contains a data processor (25) and/or a spectrophotometric table (20) to determine the composition and concentration of the elements found in the sample. Preferred Features: The electrode coupling is an annular electrode fixed to the second sleeve to at least partially surround the first or second combustion chamber. The first sleeve is coated with a material which emits reactive gas under the heat from the first combustion chamber, such as Indium. The burner has a third coaxial tubular sleeve forming an annular chamber with the first sleeve which opens into the second combustion chamber to admit hydrogen. An additive such as an alkaline salt can be injected into the second combustion chamber. The data processor determines the amount of sulfur in the sample and then subtracts that from the total concentration of chlorine.
