New design of beet harvesting device protects beet from being damaged

The device is equipped with at least two shares (49) attached to a share holding element (41,42) and an eccentrically working drive shaft (45). Each of the share holding elements (41,42) is controlled by two eccentric drives (46,47) causing axial shifting and an oscillating movement of the share (49). The share (49) performs an elliptic motion while pulling the beet. Less soil sticks to the beet and damage, usually caused by back and forwards movements, can be avoided.
