<p>A novel magnetic bearing assembly is disclosed where mutually repulsing magnetic fields are generated between an inner housing and an outer housing. In the preferred embodiment, these fields are located in pairs of cooperating rings, one set of rings having the generated field being axially aligned and the other set having a radial alignment. Thus, one section of the housing is suspended within the other without any contact.</p> |
