摘要 <p>Each level line identifies itself as a boundary for a group of slabs in a mesh for each of which a field value is greater or equal to a predetermined level. Each primitive shape identifies itself to a route on corners of a mesh. The pre-defined class(es) of the primitive shape(s) being defined by predetermined route conditions and eventually by complementary criteria. Independent claims are also included for: (1) an image processing program, (2) use of method (3) and image processing device Digital image processing method including a stage which receives parts (slabs) of a meshed digital image. The image includes a sequence of signals representing field values, at least a field value being associated with each of the slabs of the image mesh. The method only uses line levels defined from the field values of each slab and includes the following stages pre-define one or more primitive geometric classes; generate from the received image a list of primitive shape belonging to the pre-defined classes. Each primitive shape in the list is generated by finding a route in a mesh formed by its corner and by regrouping one or more line level parts which are passed over during movement along the route. The path followed being such that a path from at least an initial corner junction is partially superposed with one or more level lines and that the route belongs to the pre-defined class or classes for the primitive shape; form a new image containing a group of primitive shapes of the list so that they represent the received image.</p>
