PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform Japanese entry with Roman character-KANA conversion through a specific number of keys and to make it possible to input Japanese by a dedicated keyboard that has the specific number of keys and an operating system(OS) which decides the key code of an inputted key and gives it to an application. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a dedicated keyboard 1 which has sixteen keys and an OS 2 which decides a key code of an inputted key and gives it to an application 3. The OS2 is provided with a key input decision processing 21 that decides which key is inputted, a fixed decision processing 22 which confirms a time between a prereceding input and the input of this time and a key information communication processing 23. A single key code is used for the entry of vowels and 'N' consonants, a main key code of a compound key that enables key-entry after a fixed interval of time is used for frequently used consonants and a sub key code of the compound key is used for less frequently used consonants. |
